Rilco Inc. has reviewed the Illinois order that was issued on Thursday, March 19, 2020, regarding COVID-19. We have concluded it expressly exempts the oil and gas industry, which includes our company.
Illinois Order: The Governor’s COVID-19 Executive Order No. 8, Section 10(b), specifically exempts “manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain for critical products and industries”. Under this section it references chemical, petroleum and fuel. “There are certain critical infrastructure sectors whose assets, systems, and networks are considered so vital to the United States that their incapacitation would have a debilitating effect on security, national economic security, national public health or safety, or any combination thereof.” Rilco Inc. plays an essential role in one of these sectors, the manufacturing, distribution and supply chain sector.
The Executive Order provides comprehensive exemptions to allow Rilco, Inc. to continue to operate. While we will continue to take steps to ensure the health and safety of our employees, we are committed to providing uninterrupted service to our valued customers.
